Our Leadership

Pastors Neil Betrue and Shannon Betrue have devoted more than 29 years to ministry, faithfully serving with a heart for people and a passion for Jesus. Pastor Neil gave his life to Christ at seventeen and quickly stepped into a calling to share the Gospel. He is a graduate of Texas Bible Institute and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University. Pastor Shannon also graduated from Texas Bible Institute, where she was salutatorian, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University. In addition to pastoring, Pastor Neil serves as a hospice chaplain, providing spiritual care, comfort, and hope to patients and families.

Together, they have served as Youth and Children’s Pastors and spent over 15 years ministering in the prisons of Mohave County. In 2019, they followed God’s call to Surprise, where they now serve as Lead Pastors of Champion Church Surprise, building a place where God moves and families grow.

They are blessed with three amazing children, a wonderful son-in-law, a wonderful daughter-in-law, two grandsons, and a granddaughter who bring them great joy. Their entire family serves alongside them in ministry, united in purpose and calling.
